Habenaria/Cynorkis/Pecteilis

We have been growing and propagating choice species from this occasionally seen orchid group for many years and are finally in a position to offer blooming size divisions. Plants are deciduous, generally going dormant in the colder winter months, coming back to life in the spring. Many species will flower in the spring or summer, with others, even within the same species, flowering at completely opposite times of the year.
TO ORDER PLANTS, we will put your name on a waiting list and contact you as soon as the species of interest initiates growth. This way, you are guaranteed to have something arrive alive and actively growing, likely to flower within weeks. This is opposed to receiving a dormant tuber and then hoping for the best one day when it decides to wake up….

Generally speaking, we have found these grow best in clay pots with pure sphagnum moss. Watering is very heaving when in active growth, and only occasionally when dormant so as to prevent the moss from becoming crispy.
