Paph. Nicole Doherty (Julius x Michael Koopowitz) – new offering of this next generation sanderianum hybrid. My own cross named after my beautiful wife, we recently won Best in Show at the Montreal Show in March 2010 with a first bloom seedling. Flowers are best described as a huge Julius with much longer petals. Great colour contrast, and flowers larger than either parent. I have not seen this cross elsewhere, and was only able to successfully make it once myself. When they’re gone they’re gone!
